It's that time of the year again when we encourage you to look for high calibre candidates for selection. This year RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is being held between 30th June and 7th July and we need to start interviewing candidates in order to meet the deadline of 30th April.
 
Objectives
 
  1. to bring together young people aged 20 to 28, who have shown leadership qualities and will benefit from the program of lectures, discussions, activities and interactions during a week long live in seminar.
  2. To demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for young people.
  3. To provide information, instruction and experience on a wide range of subjects of interest and benefit to the awardees, utilising appropriate industry leaders and experts as presenters.
  4. To equip, instruct and encourage promising young people from different cultures and backgrounds, to better serve their communities and countries.
  5. To encourage leadership of young people by young people.
  6. To recognise young people who are providing service to their communities.
  7. To provide Awardees with an experience that they will not forget and will benefit them well into the future.
Applicants must be between 20 and 28 at 1st May 2018. A standard application form can be completed electronically at www.ryla.co.nz and submitted to the club.
 
We have a proud tradition of sponsoring outstanding young leaders to RYLA. All we need is for you to introduce them. Don’t forget this program is open to Rotarian families.
