I think we can agree that our first full meeting for the 2022 year was most enjoyable. It was good to see so many of you there and partners as always, very welcome.
Clearly the plan to have a Trivial Pursuit Night was the right option. A group of Rotarians throwing petanque boules from a Flying Fox just doesn’t bear thinking about!!
Thanks to John Savory, Mike Abercrombie and Bill Charkow for pulling it all together and ensuring the night went off without a hitch. Special thanks to John Savory our quiz master. He certainly tested our knowledge. To be fair some of the phobias we couldn’t pronounce let alone identify and it is very hard to answer questions that actually don’t have an answer !!!However at the end of the night we all had fun, lots of laughter and catching up with each other, a great way to start the year.
Our next full meeting on 25th January, will be a Club Assembly. It is my intention at this meeting to update all members on progress and future plans of committees, upcoming projects and outline the proposed programme through to June/July, along with any other important updates. I would love to see a FULL ATTENDANCE please!
It is indeed great to be back to some sort of normality, long may it last, but who knows.
Kia tupato, kia noho haumaru. Take care, stay safe
