Last week our club made its annual visit to Howick Coastguard.
Some members were treated to a trip on the boat and some were looking forward to but were denied when a callout meant they were “cast off” in favour of a rescue mission. An apt demonstration of the invaluable service provided by this terrific group of volunteers. As usual we were made very welcome and enjoyed the company, the food and drink. The proceeds from the upcoming Fun Walk Run go to support our coastguard. They will be very involved on the day.
