For the last 10 years I have been a founding member of the Coastguard Supporters Club and as such receive regular mailings from them.
At our last visit to Coastguard there was some mention of the selection of Young Volunteer of the year. I can advise you that the person receiving the most votes and therefore the title was 22 year old Bradley McKenzie of Howick Coastguard. Bradley started volunteering for coastguard when he was 18. Now he is a senior crew member, the unit training officer and a crew chief . He is also a marine outboard engineer.
