Sunday morning 22nd March saw members of the Rotary Club of Howick and other volunteers from Coastguard wake early to a beautiful morning despite the overnight rain. Waking at a sparrows f@rt, our members collected trailers and met at Stockade Hill before 7am to setup for the annual Rotary Club of Howick Fun Walk & Run Event. Gantry, Gazebo's and BBQ was setup ready for the participants. Hundreds took part and hordes of students from many schools entered the event.

It was another great day at this year's Fun Walk and Run. Thank you to all who came out in support.

We are pleased all proceeds raised go directly to Howick Volunteer Coastguard thanks to our many generous sponsors, donating almost $4000 worth of prizes to give away. The prize giving was very well attend and enthusiastically supported by the young people, especially appealing for redraws when prizes were unclaimed immediately!
