Food allergy affects thousands of children and their families, who live every day with the knowledge that accidental exposure to the food concerned can cause life-threatening reactions (anaphylaxis). Allergy New Zealand is a national charity dedicated to enabling individuals with allergies and their families to live well. Their education programme is targeted at schools and communities to help them keep children with food allergy safe.
