Every year Howick Rotary makes an award to the Police Officer nominated by our local Police Commander.
As she does every year Inspector Wendy Spiller addressed our club and spoke about what is happening and how our district, Counties Manukau, will be a beneficiary of the increased numbers of new officers that the government has authorised. No doubt we are all pleased to know that South and East Auckland will be the base for many of those who will graduate regularly during the year.

The recipient of this year’s award was Sergeant Michael Smitt who’s outstanding dedication and contribution to our community was outlined by Inspector Spiller. A well deserved award.
