The Committee had its first meeting of the year and discussed the projects coming up for the year which includes the following Youth programme, Outgoing International Exchange student to France, RYLA, RYPEN, MUNA, RANZE, Rotary National Science Forum, Challenge Camp support, Howick College Scholarships, Brian Hanlon Speech Awards, and Outward Board.
The committee will consider adding the Spirit of Adventure/NZ to the Youth list.
In the International programme we will be supporting ERK’s Shelter Box and Interplast. The Vocational programme will include the Police Awards with some thought on more involvement of the Police in the club and the Apprentice Awards which are coming up next week (and which will be rescheduled to this time next year). We are also going to be looking at reintroducing the popular industry visits for members and partners. The approximate budget for these projects is $23000.
