Damien Light Chairperson of the Howick Local Board was the club's guest speaker at the last dinner meeting. The title of his presentation was "Turning Strategy Into Action Who What How of the Howick Local Board". The presentation included a personal introduction, his fellow board members, facts and figures on the Howick area, some history, workings of Auckland Council and the Local Board Plans including significant financial information. Altogether a comprehensive and succinct presentation which was well received by the members.
